MEET MIKE

NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Out of College, Mikey Mash joined the United States Marine Corp to serve his country. Later, he entered into a career in Law Enforcement.  Following his career in law enforcement, he entered the financial arena and rose to the rank of VP of Investments at a Fortune 500 Wall Street Firm.

After moving to Myrtle Beach several years ago, being a former athlete, Mikey became involved in youth sports where he has served his community as a baseball coach at the American Legion level and has worked with the Horry County Parks & Recreation Department also volunteering as a youth baseball coach.  Mikey also serves on the Horry County Planning Commission and advocates for balance and cooperation between, public safety, the environment and growth.

Mikey has earned multiple certifications in real estate that detail environmental protection as it relates to land development, agricultural and farm lands, and re-purposing of land usage along with sub-division of land. He is also certified as a listing and marketing specialist in real estate.

Mikey states that his life's greatest and proudest accomplishment has been, with the help of his wife, raising two outstanding children: His daughter who graduated from CCU and is now financial analyst and communications officer for the world’s largest mining company in the precious metals industry.  And, their son, an Honors Graduate of Socastee High School and standout on the school’s baseball team was signed by Coach Gilmore at CCU his junior year.  He is currently earning his degree in Business Administration and will graduate this summer.

Mikey's goal if elected as councilman to Horry County Council District 8, is to focus on four major issues that affect residents: public safety, the environment, economic diversification and constituent service. He would greatly appreciate your vote and support in his efforts to serve the residents of Horry County.
